Just repeating what the organisers told the parents. Apparently some players were registered above their age group. Eg: 15 year old registered for Under-18. This is allowed in international tournaments like the World Youth.
However since the Malaysian National Age Group is for selection criteria, this is not allowed. A 15 year old must play Under-16 and cannot opt to join the Under 18.
This is one of the reasons the latest full list of players could not be posted last night.
